Raleigh McElvery is the public affairs officer at the NASA Office of Inspector General. Previously, she was the science writer and multimedia producer for the National Cancer Institute’s Neuro-Oncology Branch and the MIT Department of Biology. As a freelance science journalist, she has written for Scientific American, Science, Nature, Discover Magazine, Smithsonian Magazine, Quanta Magazine, Chemical & Engineering News, MIT Technology Review, PBS NOVA Next, and more.
