Shannon Larkin is the academic administrator for the GPSW and den mother to students and faculty. She has served on the Committee on Graduate Policy and as chair to the Graduate Administrators Roundtable. Her office is kept stocked with emotional support chocolate for when students hit a rough patch, and books written by alums for when they need inspiration. When she’s not at MIT, Shannon is also a professional singer specializing in music of the late Renaissance and early Baroque. She lives in Cambridge with her husband Joe, English Shepherds Dandelion and Ladybird, and a blue-tongued skink named Godzilla.
