Josh Sokol has been awarded the 2017 Jonathan Eberhart Planetary Sciences Journalism Award from the American Astronomical Society. He received the award for his article, “Hidden Depths,” which dives into how frigid planets sustain subsurface oceans. Published in the August 13, 2016 issue of New Scientist, Josh’s story was hailed by the AAS as being “thoroughly researched and beautifully written.” We are not surprised, and are glad to see him so honored.
