Michael Greshko is a freelance science journalist based in Washington D.C. Previously, he was a staff science writer at National Geographic, covering everything from dinosaurs to dark matter. His work can be found in The Washington Post, Science, National Geographic Traveler, MIT Technology Review, NOVA Next, and the American Institute of Physics’s Inside Science News Service. He is the 2022 recipient of the American Astronomical Society’s Jonathan Eberhart Planetary Sciences Journalism Award.
