Conor Gearin works at Metropolitan Community College in Omaha. He is the president of the Audubon Society of Omaha. His journalism bylines include New Scientist, The Atlantic, New Territory, Undark, and NOVA Next. Previously, he was the managing editor of BirdNote Daily. He is currently working on a poetry collection.
