Daelin Brown is a journalist from Colmar, Pennsylvania, who covers environmental justice and health equity engineering.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Hampton University, where she was a staff writer for the Local and World sections at the Hampton Script campus newspaper. Prior to coming to MIT, Daelin was an environmental justice fellow for Inside Climate News, where she covered areas ranging from long-term remediation efforts in the aftermath of a refinery fire in Philadelphia to emerging research on New York’s bottlenose dolphins.
While at MIT, Daelin plans to dig deeper into the environmental justice beat. She hopes to one day publish a book on health and environmental disparities faced in black and brown communities.
